Project #36234

TDU AMS Low Income Program

Summary

The purpose of this project is to design and implement a program that will distribute HAN devices to customers in TDU territories. The Joint TDUs are working with the Staff of the PUCT, the Office of Public Utility Counsel ("OPUC") (representing the low-income customers), and other Texas market stakeholders to create a common effort so that the low-income in-home monitor programs are consistent across all four service territories. These programs will consist of customer participant selection, in-home monitor purchases and distribution, customer education, customer technical support, and program evaluation and reporting. These devices will join to and communicate with provisioned advanced meters that AEP Texas Central Company and AEP Texas North Company (collectively, "AEP Texas"), CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC ("CEHE"), and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC ("Oncor") ("Joint TDUs") are deploying in their respective service territories.
